About Us

For over 40 years the name Medlin has been the name you can trust for pre-owned vehicles in eastern North Carolina, thanks to Jack Medlin Sr. To add to their dad's storied tradition, brothers Jack Jr. and Jeff Medlin purchased the former Volkswagen building in Rocky Mount in 1994 and began a new Hyundai dealership along with quality pre-owned vehicles. They grew that business together until an opportunity in Wilson became available.

In January 2000, Jack Jr. and Jeff partnered together again to purchase our current location from what was then Howell Buick GMC Oldsmobile. It quickly became Medlin Buick GMC, as General Motors decided to eliminate Oldsmobile around the same time. The store became an instant success known for straight forward dealing and taking care of customers on new and used vehicles along with servicing customer's vehicles. In 2005, the Mazda franchise became available and it was added to our current location.

At the inception of Medlin Buick GMC, we started a 5 year program that was known as the Medlin Star Student. Area children from all grade levels were asked to bring in their report cards each quarter and register for each "A" that they had earned. At the end of the each year we would draw winners and award over $5,000 in US Savings Bonds.

Medlin Buick GMC Mazda continues to support activities in our community sponsoring youth sport teams in Wilson, Elm City and Rocky Mount. We also support area organizations such as the Wilson Rotary, Wilson Shrine Club, Rocky Mount Shrine Club and several other organizations by sponsoring Hole-in-One Golf Tournaments. In fact, in the fall of 2007 local businessman William Shreve aced the par 3 at Happy Valley Country Club to win a brand new 2008 Buick Lucerne during the Wilson Chamber of Commerce golf outing. We also support many of the area churches through a variety fundraisers.
