The Special Olympics are more about just playing some games. The Special Olympics help those that are a little different find themselves and an incredible support group of friends thanks to the unifying power of sports and competition. The North Carolina Special Olympics chapter is always putting together great events for Special Olympics athletes and their families in the Wilson and Eastern North Carolina area.

The Wilson Family YMCA
The Young Men’s Christian Associated has been around for over 170 years and is collectively the largest non-profit community service organization in the United States. The Wilson YMCA has been supporting the community since 2001 and we are proud to help this organization provide structure and guidance to children, families and anyone else in the Wilson community.
From offering youth programs that teach kids valuable life lessons to providing a safe and affordable space for all types of exercise, the YMCA is one of the pillars of the Wilson community. The Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf
The Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf (ENCSD) is one of the nation’s preeminent schools for those that are deaf, hard of hearing or deaf-blind. With a supportive staff, comprehensive lesson programs and community support, the ENCSD has helped students lead successful, productive and independent lives since it opened in 1964.
The ENCSD serves the 54 easternmost counties in North Carolina and helps provide students with real-world training and guidance for them to find a fulfilling and successful career. Wilson Pregnancy Center
Another one of our local community partners is the Wilson Pregnancy Center. This center is dedicated to women and men that have discovered unplanned pregnancies and offer guidance through a difficult and uncertain time. The Wilson Pregnancy Center offers a safe and helpful environment during and after pregnancy through resources and support.
