Why the MAZDA CX-5 is Right For You!

November 17th, 2021 by

The 2021 MAZDA CX-5 is offered in a wide variety of trim levels, but how do you know which one is right for you? At Medlin Mazda, we’ll help you break down the differences between all of these options and decide!

Trim Levels with the Base Engine

We’ll divide these trim levels into two categories. These models have the base engine, which produces 187 horsepower.

Sport: This is the base model, but it still offers an impressive list of features. Standard tech includes Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, along with safety tech like Blind-Spot Monitoring and Mazda Radar Cruise Control.

Touring: You can opt for leatherette interior options, instead of cloth, on this trim level. The audio system also gets an upgrade, going from four speakers to six.

Carbon Edition: This has its own unique exterior color and adds a few features. If you’re looking for a stylish crossover that really stands out and a model that offers extras like a rear power liftgate, heated sfr and a power sliding glass moonroof, this new Mazda model might catch your eye.

Grand Touring: This luxurious model adds a few more features, including an adaptive front-lighting system and a larger screen for the infotainment system.

Turbo Trim Levels

These models all come equipped with the turbo engine, which produces 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.

Carbon Edition Turbo: This offers the same exterior package as the regular Carbon Edition. This is a great trim level to choose if you need extra charging ports, since this trim level adds two rear USB ports. You also get an upgraded 10-speaker audio system from Bose®.

Grand Touring Reserve: The Grand Touring Reserve is only available with i-ACTIV® all-wheel drive and offers a number of luxury features, including ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. We also love the futuristic Active Driving Display, which projects crucial info right onto the windshield.

Signature: This is the top trim level available. It offers everything found on lower trim levels and adds some extras, like a navigation system, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Nappa leather seating.
