WHAT MAZDA VEHICLES HAVE APPLE CARPLAY AND ANDROID AUTO?

November 14th, 2018 by

Have you heard? For the first time ever, Mazda announced that certain Mazda vehicles will now offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto! Mazda drivers have been asking for these great features for some time, and Mazda has listened and delivered! But which vehicles offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto right now? We’ve got the scoop on that and more, right here!

The first Mazda vehicle that will be able to offer the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality is the 2018 Mazda6 Touring time level and above models. 2018 Mazda6 models with the factory-installed Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, however, won’t be available until December 2018.

But if you currently own a 2018 Mazda6 Touring trim level or higher, you can schedule a service appointment to have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto installed by a Mazda dealership for free!

The 2019 Mazda CX-9 and upcoming 2019 Mazda CX-5 are the only other Mazda vehicles right now that we know for sure will offer the available Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The 2019 CX-9 will be the first Mazda vehicle to come with the available features factory installed from the start of its release.

But don’t worry, these Mazda vehicles may be the first, but they certainly won’t be the last! Mazda has said that, eventually, all new Mazda vehicles in the coming years will come with available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

CAN I UPDATE MY OLDER Mazda VEHICLE TO GET APPLE CARPLAY AND ANDROID AUTO?

As of right now, Mazda has said that the only older Mazda vehicles that can be upgraded with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is the 2018 Mazda6 Touring time and above. That’s not to say they never will offer these upgrades for older models, but for the time being the 2018 Mazda6 is the only one.
