2023 MAZDA CX-30

Starting off our countdown is the subcompact 2023 Mazda CX-30. As one might expect, this vehicle has the lowest storage capacity. However, drivers looking for a smaller city SUV will love the 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 45.2 cubic feet of total cargo space.

2023 Mazda CX-50 & 2023 MAZDA CX-5

As similarly sized vehicles, the 2023 Mazda CX-50 and the 2023 Mazda CX-5 have similar cargo capacities. The 2023 Mazda CX-5 has a standard capacity of 30.8 cubic feet while the 2023 Mazda CX-50 has a touch more room behind the rear passengers at 31.4 cubic feet. The reverse is true with the rear seats folded down with the Mazda CX-50 having 56.3 total cubic feet of storage capacity and the 2023 Mazda CX-5 at 59.3 cubic feet.

2023 MAZDA CX-9

The 2023 Mazda CX-9 interior takes the top prize in the current Mazda lineup with the most maximum cargo space at a total of 71.2 cubic feet of cargo space with both the second row and third row folded down. “Controversially,” though, the Mazda CX-9 actually has the least standard cargo space with 14.3 cubic feet behind the third row of seats making the 2023 Mazda CX-50 the winner when it comes to default cargo space!
