MAZDA CX-5 Engines and MPG Ratings

The 2020 Mazda CX-5 sport utility vehicle comes in five trim levels: Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, and Signature. The first three trim levels— Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring— come standard with a Skyactiv®-G 2.5L four-cylinder engine that presents Rocky Mount drivers with 187 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque and FWD or AWD. The range-topping trim levels, the Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve and the Signature model are equipped with a Skyactiv®-G 2.5T four-cylinder that generates up to 250 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque and comes standard with i-Activ AWD®. Based on these engines, the EPA-estimated fuel economy rating are as follows for the 2020 Mazda CX-5, which are the same as the 2019 Mazda CX-5:

• Skyactiv®-G 2.5L four-cylinder with FWD: Up to 25 mpg city and 31 mpg highway
• Skyactiv®-G 2.5L four-cylinder with i-Activ AWD®: Up to 24 mpg city and 30 mpg highway
• 250-hp Skyactiv®-G 2.5T four-cylinder with i-Activ AWD®: Up to 22 mpg city and 27 mpg highway

MAZDA CX-5 Fuel Type and Capacity
